Nicholas Toufexis
Criminal Defense Attorney
I believe every client deserves to be heard, not just represented. When you sit down with me, I want to understand your story — not just the facts of your case — because that understanding is what drives me to fight harder for you.

Biography
The first thing I want to know when I meet a new client isn’t just what happened — it’s who you are and what’s at stake for you.
I focus on understanding who my client is as a person before I ever look at the charge against them. A case file can list an arrest, a statute, a set of facts — but it can’t capture the fear a client feels about their job, their family, or their future. That’s why I make it a priority to listen first and build the legal strategy around the person I’m representing.
I take time to understand each client as a person, rather than moving quickly toward a plea or resolution without first learning what matters to them.
My approach is different. I start by listening — really listening — to understand the full picture: the circumstances that led to the charge, the personal and financial pressures my client is facing, and what outcome would actually allow them to move forward with their life. Only then do I build a defense strategy aimed at the result that truly matters for that person.
Deep Roots in Dallas
Dallas isn’t just where I practice law — it’s home.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Florida Institute of Technology before heading to Dallas to attend Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law, where I received my J.D. in 2020. Dallas is where I built my legal career from the ground up.
Those struggles hit close to home.
Those early experiences, combined with years of working directly with clients facing serious criminal charges, drive me to pour everything I have into every single case I take on.
When I think about the kind of practice I wanted to build, the answer was simple: treat every client the way I’d want my own family treated if they were facing a criminal charge.
That commitment shows up in the details — answering calls, responding to messages promptly, and keeping clients informed every step of the way. It’s not just about winning cases; it’s about making a real difference in someone’s life when they need it most.
My goal for every client is simple: when your case is resolved, I want you to feel confident moving forward, knowing that someone truly fought for you.
